2011 March: Outreach in Nigeria

Last month, Leander Vosloo, head of Davar Partners’ Audio and Technical Support Services, travelled from his native South Africa to assist the Nigerians to load audio content onto 1500 Audibible™ players. The local project leader shared that when they were testing the new audio content in the village two Muslim men were so impressed that they asked how they could believe in the God of the Bible and committed themselves to following Jesus.

 These Davar AudiBibles™ are being deployed in an Orality program initiated by partner ministries. The audio materials being developed in local languages focus on the health needs of the community and on agricultural practices that help the villagers increase their food production and protect their land. The messages are supplemented with Biblical stories and songs and loaded onto the Audibible™ solar powered audio players for group listening.
