Over 60% of the world's population does not read.  They are people who are either illiterate, functionally illiterate, visually impaired or simply part of an oral culture-- where learning traditionally takes place in non-written form.  Many live in remote locations, with limited access to electricity.  

How will they hear of God's love?  This is the question that drove the DAVAR Partners to look for solutions.

The need is overwhelming but existing tools were either too expensive or had extra customs or import costs that made it almost impossible to get them to those who were in the greatest need.    So a team began to meet and brainstorm about how to increase speed, efficiency and lower cost.    Business men and women skilled in technology, product development and manufacturing designed and developed a new audio player, the Audibible™, exclusively for the use of DAVAR and its partners.    Others who donated their time and resources were equally generous.  The result is a dynamic and active organization that is growing rapidly and poised to play an integral role in scripture engagement for many years to come.
