audio is available?
A: An extensive audio content library is

Q: Is
there other audio content available for download besides what is in the Davar
Partner International Audio Content
Library?
A: Yes,
organisations like Faith Comes By Hearing and Global Recordings Network publish
their audio titles on their website to download and load onto media players for
personal use. Please read their terms and agreements before using their
content.

Q: Can
I load my own audio content?
A: Yes,
by utilising the Audibible™ Software, you can convert and compile your WAV or
MP3 audio files seamlessly into one or more usable files that can be loaded
onto the Micro SD card to be used on the Audibible™.
Q: Where can I get more information on specific countries, languages, people groups, world maps and available audio?

Technical:
Q: How
many hours can the Audibible play audio when fully charged?
A: More than 9 hours when played at normal
volume.
Q: How
much audio can be loaded onto the Audibible™?
A: With
the standard 2GB Micro SD card, approximately 200 hours of good quality audio
can be loaded onto the Micro SD card. The Audibible™ can use any size of Micro
SD card from 2GB and upward (currently 32GB). A full Bible normally takes up about 80 hours.
Q: How
long does the Audibible™ take to charge?
A: From
empty to fully charged, it takes 5.5 Hours in full sunlight when charging with
the solar panel that is on the back of the Audibible™. It takes 2.5 Hours
when charging the Audibible™ with an external 5-28V DC external charger (AC
Power Adaptor).
Q: What
type of external charger (AC power adaptor) can I use?
A: Any
charger (AC power adaptor) with a 3.5mm barrel plug connector (1.3mm centre
pin) that has an output voltage between 5V and 28V which can deliver a current
of at least 200mA. This accessory
can be purchased from Davar Partners International. The older Nokia Chargers
with the “thick” 3.5mm barrel plug connector can also charge the Audibible™,
but please make sure that the output voltage on the Nokia charger is 5Volt or

Q: How
will I know when the Audibible™ needs to be recharged?
A: A
red LED will flash indicating that the battery level is below 5%.
Q: How
will I know the Audibible™ is charging when plugged into an external charger
(AC power adaptor)?
A: On the latest model of the Audibible™
the blue LED will light when the Audibible™ is being charged with an external
charger.
Q: How
will I know when the battery is fully charged?
A: The
blue LED will turn off when the battery is fully charged.
Q: Can
I connect the Audibible™ to personal earphones or an external PA system?
A: Yes,
any standard earphones with a 3.5mm barrel plug connector can be used. The
Audibible™ can be connected to an external PA system.
Q: What
software will I need to load my own audio content on the Audibible™?
A: The
Audibible Software™. Available to order at:

Q: Can
I load my own audio content?
A: Yes,
by utilising the Audibible Software™ you can seamlessly convert and compile
your WAV or MP3 audio files into one or more usable files that can be loaded
onto the Micro SD card to be used on the Audibible™. The Audibible Software™ is
available for purchase with an order of a minimum of 20 players and is supplied
free of charge for orders of over 1000 players.
Q: Does
my audio need to be in a certain format before I use the Audibible™ Software to
compile my own audio for loading onto the Audibible™?
A: No,
the Audibible Software will use your WAV or MP3 audio and automatically convert
the audio to the Ogg Vorbis format that the Audibible™ uses.
Q: How
does the Audibible™ know which audio file to play first?
A: The
Audibible™ plays content in a sequential order, so the user will have to sort
his/her content sequentially. Example: 01_Genesis1, 02_Exodus, 03_Leviticus..
This is explained in detail in the Audibible™ Software User Manual.
Q: Is
there a template of the books of the Bible available?
A: Yes,
the template is available on the Audibible™ Software CD.
Q: Why
does Davar Partners use the Ogg Vorbis audio format?
A: The
use of Ogg Vorbis avoids royalty cost such as those incurred with use of MP3.
Ogg Vorbis is a much more secure format with a high fidelity rate and
unencumbered by patents.
Q:
Where are the audio files stored?
A: The
audio files are stored on a Micro SD card that is inserted on the side of the
Audibible™.
Q: What
hardware do I need to load my own audio content onto the Audibible™?
A:
- A
PC with any Microsoft Windows™
operating system where Oracle Java™ JRE 1.5
or higher is installed. The Oracle Java JRE is an open source program and is
therefore freely available from the Oracle Java website. (The latest version is included in the Audibible
Software CD).
- A Micro SD card reader
or a SD card reader with a Micro SD card adaptor to load the final audio
content on the micro SD card. The latest PC’s come with a Micro SD card reader
on board. If your computer does not include it external ones are readily
available for a few dollars. For

Q: Can
the audio content on the Micro SD card be listened to or altered using a MP3
player or other media device?
A: No,
the audio files are encrypted and can only be used with the Audibible™.
Q:
Where is the Audibible™ Software encryption key?
A:
Davar Partners International Audio & Technical Support Department will send
the authorised user the encryption key when the Audibible™ Software has been
ordered and paid.
Q: Can
I skip or forward between books, chapters, songs or other messages?
A: Yes,

Q: Can
I return to the specific
chapter or track that I was listening to when I shut down or paused the
Audibible™?
A: The
Audibible™ has a built in book marking function which remembers the position
when the unit is switched off and continues at that specific chapter/track when
turned on again. The audio level is also restored in the same manner.
Q: My Audibible™ does not want to switch off and
the RED and GREEN LED stays lit. Is the unit faulty? How can I switch it off?
A: If a
Micro SD card which does not contain a valid Base Content File is inserted into
the Audibible™, the GREEN and RED LED will stay lit ad the user will not be
able to use any buttons. The only
way to switch off the Audibible™ when it is in this state is to remove the
Micro SD card and then to press the power button for at least two seconds.
The Audibible™ is
not able to play Additional Content without a valid and corresponding Base
Content File. Please see the
