STEP 3: AUDIO COMPILING
GENERAL OVERVIEW
Content Protection
The AudiBible™ content is stored on a removable Micro SD card using a standard FAT file system. In other words, the Micro SD card stores files in a standard way.
However, in order to protect the player from misuse and the content from unauthorized copying, the Ogg Vorbis™ content files must be encrypted.
The AudiBible™ will not play any content if it finds that the Micro SD card does not contain the files that are expected, or that they are not properly encrypted, or if any of the required files have been tampered with.
The AudiBible™ Software encrypts Ogg Vorbis™ content files for use with the player.
Base Content
The AudiBible™ distinguishes between two types of content: base content and additional content. The base content is the audio content that is supplied with the player and will be on the Micro SD Card. If a user obtained a Micro SD card from another source, the Base Content should be copied from the Micro SD card that came with the player to the newly obtained Micro SD card. This procedure is explained in Step 4.2. The player will not play any content unless the base content is present and unaltered.
Base content is compiled into a single file, called a bundle, with the extension ABB.
Additional Content
The second type of content is referred to as additional content. This is audio content that an authorized person may compile, (in addition to the base content at some later stage). Additional content can be changed any number of times, and the player does not require it to be present in order to play base content. Multiple additional content bundles may be stored on a player’s Micro SD card.
Additional Content cannot be played without the presence of Base Content on the Micro SD card.
Additional content bundles are distinguished on the Micro SD card by the file extension ABA.
Content Compiling
Both types of content are encrypted using the AudiBible™ Software. You will be prompted to choose which type of content to compile (Base Content or Additional Content).
When compiling the base content the AudiBible™ Software will ask for a base content key. This encryption key must be the exact key that the player expects. Davar Partners International will send the authorized user the Base Content encryption key when the AudiBible™ Software is ordered. The encryption key will be emailed to the user.
At the same time, the AudiBible™ Software will ask the user for an additional content key. It determines what encryption key the additional content, if any, must be encrypted with. Davar Partners International will send the authorized user the Additional Content encryption key when the AudiBible™ Software is ordered. The encryption key will be emailed to the user.
When preparing additional content at any later time, the AudiBible™ Software will then ONLY ask for an additional content key. This key must be the exact key specified when the base content was prepared. If you have not received an encryption key or have lost it in some way, please contact the Davar Partners International Audio & Technical Support Department:

Instructions to compile Additional Content:
Folder preparations:
As explained in Step2, the user should have first created a folder called Audio with a sub-folder called Source in a working directory. The top folder is named Audio for our purpose, but you may have given it another name.
The Source folder will contain your previously structured audio content. Please see Step2 on Content Preparation on how the content should be structured.
Please create a new folder in the Audio folder and give it a name. In our example we have used the folder name Bundle.
The Bundle folder is the destination folder which will finally contain the compiled and encrypted Additional Content file which will later be copied onto the Micro SD Card. The example can be seen in figure 13 below.

Browse the directory containing your source content in Ogg Vorbis™ format.
Select the Source directory where your Ogg Vorbis™ files are located.

Browse to select a directory and file name for the compiled content bundle. In this case we select the Bundle file named Bundle as shown in figure 17 below.
This is the destination file which will finally contain the compiled and encrypted Additional Content file (extension ABA) which will later be copied onto the Micro SD Card.
Figure 17

At the File name section, type in a name e.g. My_Audio_1.ABA (Remember the ABA extension)
This will be the name of the compiled file that will be in the in the Bundle folder after the compilation.

Before going to the next step to start the compilation, please review to see if your setup is correct.
Below is a summary:
- Your Additional Content is selected
- Your Source directory containing your Ogg Vorbis files is selected
- Your Bundle file where the compiled file will be stored is selected
- Your Bundle file is given a name with an ABA extension
- Your Additional Content 32-digit encryption key is entered
If your Additional Key has been inserted correctly you should now have the option to click NEXT and start the compiler.

When finished, you can click on CLOSE.
Congratulations! You have now compiled your audio content using the AudiBible™ Software.
You should now have an AudiBible™ Additional Content File named My_Audio_1.ABA (or the name you previously given the file) in the Bundle folder. This is the file that needs to be copied to the Micro SD card. Please see figure 22 below.

>>IMPORTANT NOTE: The user must have both the Additional Content (filename.ABA) file(s) and the Base Content (filename.ABB) file on the Micro SD card in order to be able to play the Additional Content audio on the AudiBible™.
STEP 4 will instruct you to copy the Base Content and/or Additional Content files to your Micro SD card(s).
