STEP 1: INITIAL SETUP
1.1 Minimum Requirements
The AudiBible™ Software can be run on any Microsoft Windows™ platform for which an Oracle Java™ 1.5, or higher, runtime environment is available. This currently includes Windows 2000™ Professional, Windows 2000™ Server, and all versions of Windows XP™, Windows Vista™, and Windows 7™. You can view your computer’s platform by clicking on the Start icon, then right click on My Computer and select Properties. The AudiBible™ Software is not currently designed to run on a Macintosh platform.
1.2 Download and install the JRE
Check to see if you have the Java™ Run Time Environment (JRE) version 1.5 or higher installed on your PC. To see if JRE is already installed and what version, please click on your Start icon > Control Panel > Programs. This should list all the installed programs in your computer. If you already have JRE (version 1.5 or higher) installed on your computer, please proceed to Step 1.3 below.
If you do not have JRE (version 1.5 or higher), then please download the appropriate JRE via the links on the Davar Partners web site or visit http://java.com/downloadRun the JRE installer and follow the prompts to complete the installation of the JRE.

1.4 Make sure you have a Micro SD Card reader or adaptor to use with the Micro SD card.
1.4.1 For the final step of copying the prepared audio content to the AudiBible’s™ Micro SD card, you will need to ensure that your computer is equipped with a Micro SD card reader (slot). If your computer or notebook does not have a built in Micro SD card reader, but rather a built in SD card reader you should use a Micro SD card adaptor with your SD card reader such as the one shown below. These can be bought at most computer stores.
1.4.2 Alternatively you can use an external USB SD card reader with an SD adaptor like in the example shown below. These are normally bought as a set at most computer stores.
