Ubabalo - Africa Project: Reaching an Entire Generation with God's Word and Life Skills...
An estimated 400 million in Africa are under the age of 16. Most of these cannot read -- but they play soccer! Several sports ministries have joined forces to train "life coaches" for soccer teams throughout the continent who will impart far more than ball-handling skills.
The Ubabalu project is building from the World Cup games in 2010, with the objective of equipping 75,000 coaches over five years throughout 50 nations of Africa. DAVAR is partnering in this effort, furnishing soccer coaches with audio devices loaded with the Word of God and life-skills training they can use to reach their teams. DAVAR's sports partner is ready for the first wave of audio units.
You can be part of this unprecedented opportunity to impact an entire continent, shaping the lives of its future leaders. A donation of any size will make a significant
difference in many lives. A gift of $25 or ZAR 200 will provide a life coach with an
Audibible™ with which to train 20 young people in the ways of God and will
give each of them the opportunity to hear the Gospel, to personally engage with
the Word of God, and to share with their family and friends. Each contribution
impacts scores of lives for eternity.
° $75,000 will initiate the first wave of audio units in 2010.° $1.875 million will enable 1.5 million young leaders to be trained in the life transforming ways of the Word of God.
